Scorpène class submarine
Scorpène class submarines are a class of diesel-electric attack submarine jointly developed by the French company DCN and the Spanish company Navantia. The Chilean Navy and Royal Malaysian Navy have ordered Scorpènes, while the Indian Navy has ordered six, two to be built in France and the remaining four to be built in India.
The first Scorpène was completed in 2005, and it is currently the only one in operation.[citation needed]Scorpène characteristics
